Snapchamps (the "App") is operated by Cognfy LLC ("we," "us," "our"). This policy explains what information the App collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the App you agree to this policy.

The short version. You take a photo of an object; we send that photo to an AI provider to generate a creature character; the creature is stored to your account and can be shown to other players when you battle. We do not sell your photos, and we do not use them to train our own AI models. Three automated safety checks run on every generation.

Information we collect

Photos you capture. The App uses your camera so you can photograph an object. That photo is the input used to generate your creature. The App does not browse your photo library.
Generated creatures. The AI-generated creature image and its game attributes (name, stats, abilities, battle history, care state).
Account information. When you sign in (Sign in with Apple, via our authentication provider Clerk), we receive an opaque account identifier. If Apple provides an email relay or address and you choose to share it, we receive that as well.
Notifications. If you enable push notifications, we store a device push token to deliver battle and game alerts.
Purchases. If you make an in-app purchase, Apple processes the payment and confirms entitlement to us. We never receive your payment card details.
Diagnostics. We collect crash reports and performance data (via Sentry) to keep the App reliable. These are tied to an opaque identifier and do not include the contents of your photos.

How your photo is processed by AI

To create a creature, the App uploads your photo to our servers and sends it to our third-party AI provider, fal.ai, which generates the creature character from the image. We run automated content-safety checks on the photo before generation and on the generated image before it is stored or shown to anyone. We do not sell your photos and we do not use them to train our own AI models. AI-generated images may not be perfectly accurate or unique, and are produced by a machine-learning model.

How we use information

To generate your creatures and run the game (collection, care, and battles).
To match you with opponents and display your creature to opponents during battles and on shareable cards you choose to create.
To deliver notifications you have enabled.
To detect and prevent abuse, enforce our Terms, and meet legal obligations, including content safety.
To diagnose crashes and improve performance and reliability.

Service providers

We share information with providers who process it on our behalf: Apple (Sign in with Apple, push notifications, in-app purchases), Clerk (authentication), Cloudflare (hosting, database, and media storage), fal.ai (AI image generation), and Sentry (crash and performance diagnostics). We do not sell your personal information.

Content safety

Because creatures are generated from user photos and can be shown to other players, we apply automated moderation to both input photos and generated images, and we may remove content or terminate accounts that violate our Terms. Where we become aware of apparent child sexual abuse material, we report it to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) as required by law. You can request removal of content or report abuse at [email protected].

Children

The App is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The App presents an age gate and restricts access for users under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Data retention and deletion

We retain your account and game data while your account is active. You can delete your account from within the App (Settings), which removes your creatures and associated photos from active systems. Certain records may be retained where required by law (for example, content-safety records).

Your choices and rights

You may request access to or deletion of your personal information, and you can delete your account in the App at any time. To make a request, contact [email protected].

Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encrypted transport and access controls. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, noted in the App.
